Video Weekend #1

Each weekend we will be watching a video of a parade, show, ride, etc. to get us all excited for Disney, this is James' and the girls first visit to DisneyWorld, so I thought it would show them what to expect (I really hope the girls aren't scared of mickey!) YouTube is full of amazing videos so I will be linking up to the one we choose to watch each weekend.

This weekend we watched The Complete 2015 "Dream Along With Mickey Show" at Walt Disney World the girls loved it! Daisy got very excited when Mickey arrived on stage, but was aking where Daisy Duck was.....

The films of the weekend were Frozen, our favourite, and The Incredibles, which we had never watched before, even Olaf joie afternoon. Lily loved pretending to stretch like Mrs Incredible!

Disney DIY #1

Since it is only 121 days until we go to Disney, I have decided that a lot of the crafts the girls and I make will have a Disney theme!

We made some fabulous Minnie Mouse wands, the girls have had a blast turning Daddy into a frog then kissing him to turn him back into a prince!

How we made them:
  • Draw around a Mickey cookie cutter onto thin card. Cut out two per wand.
  • Glue together with a straw sandwiched between them.
  • Decorate with glitter and a bow.
  • Tie on tulle to the handle, we also added letter beads to add names.

Wicked Wednesday!

My girls just love swinging around the fireman's pole at the park.

Countdown to Disney!

We are going to Disneyworld! We are flying out on 26th October so the countdown has begun. I really want the girls to be excited about going, so plan to include them in the planning etc as much as possible!

I will be bogging about our adventures getting ready to go, these will include sharing tasty Disney themed meals, Disney DIYs, Top Tips I come across in my research, videos we have watched on YouTube, and the things I have brought or created for us to take away with us.

Today we have been celebrating with Mickey Mouse Pancakes. These were a bit of a cheat really, I used cookie cutters to cut the pancakes into circles, and added fruit! Easy! Yummy!

Wicked Wednesdays!!!

This picture is actually from four years ago (is that against the rules???), but I stumbled upon it whilst I was scrapbooking. The absolute look of shock on Lily's face made me laugh!!! (And the monkey is really cute too...)

Frothy Beer Cake

I really enjoyed making this cake for my friends son on his 18th Birthday. I made it with chocolate fudge cake. Yum!

Saturday 13 June 2015

We LOVE reading in our house..... Both the girls spend a lot of time looking at the pictures in books, and Lily is starting to read the Biff, Chip and Kipper books herself. But they both love being read stories with silly voices and sound effects the most.  Here's a beautiful picture of Lily and Daddy sharing some precious time together sharing stories, while I rudely interrupt with the camera... LOL!

Banana Cinnamon French Toast

We made this yummy French toast before nursery, as a yummy treat for being so good at bedtime the night before. It was really yummy and got the thumbs up from Lily!!!

Here's how to make it:
  1. Whisk 2 eggs with sugar or sweetener and cinnamon.
  2. cut bread into four.
  3. Dip into egg mixture.
  4. Fry in frylight until golden.
  5. Serve with bananas and a blob of yoghurt (and syrup if you are feeling naughty).

What do you have as a treat for breakfast???

You turn your back for five minutes to make a cup of tea, and Daisy takes her trousers off, and climbs into the dolls pram for a nap!

Teddy Bear Cookie Pops.

Lily and Daisy love baking, but we were a little short on time with ballet and tap dances to go to, so we made these yummy, easy and quick teddy bear cookie pops instead, no baking required, and still a yummy treat that's loads of fun to make.

Teddy Bear Cookie Pops!

Starting plate.

You will need:

  • An Oreo cookie (or these cheap fake ones from Aldi!)
  • A cookie pop stick (I cut them in half so they are not too long)
  • 3 chocolate buttons.
  • One gummy sweet.
  • A yoghurt covered fruit flakes cut in half.
  • Melted chocolate.

Directions:

  • Twist the Oreo in half to separate.
  • Dip stick in chocolate and place onto half the Oreo.

  • Dip 2 buttons on chocolate and add to Oreo as ears.

  • Use chocolate to glue Oreo closed again.
  • Use chocolate to glue on button as a muzzle.

  • Add sweetie nose, and fruit flake eyes using melted chocolate!

  • Eat and enjoy!!!

The girls thought they looked amazing!!!

I don't want to eat Bear!

Yum Yum...

Taste test!!!!

Yummy!

I want to eat his nose first!

The devastation of your cookie pop falling of the stick when you are trying to eat it. Daisy started shouting "Bears face fell off mama, fix him he's sad!!!",Oh dear!!!
