HAPPY EASTER!

Happy Easter everyone.

We have made a yummy Easter cake. I used this recipe from Baking Mad. It was easy to make and tasted really yummy! Although we used normal buttercream, and not the cream cheese frosting (I forgot to buy cream cheese.... Oops!)

It was a good job it was only for us to eat because Daisy tried to put her head in the mixing bowl ha-ha!

Then I let the girls spread the frosting all over the top and sides (I neatened it up a bit!!), we sprinkled some Easter candies on the top, and stuck Easter bunny chocolates around the edges.

It was delicious and so much fun to make. My two tiny crafters are definitely turning into two tiny bakers!

What Easter treats has everyone else been making?

Kermit the frog in edible form!!!

I made this cute Kermit cake for a friend of mine who's son was having a birthday, he is a huge Muppets fan so I did some research and found some awesome Kermit ideas. This cake was adapted from a Cookies, Cupcakes and Cardio video on YouTube. Click here to watch the video.  Jenn creates some beautiful cakes, I subscribe to her channel because I love her creations, check her out. I adapted her version from buttercream decorated to fondant covered, and used fondant discs with melted chocolate pupils rather than Oreos for the eyes, however the shape was copied using a giant cupcake mould.
